ReplyDeleteexplain why the narrator was pleased with denhams attitude towards the female students ?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteSorry for late reply. Here is the answer you want.
DeleteDenham was one of the boys in Braithwaite’s class who was senior student. Like all others, he too was initially dismissive of Braithwaite and was rude and disrespectful towards him. He was particularly aggressive and bad-tempered but Braithwaite’s patience and tolerance transformed Denham into a mature, young man who learnt to be respectful of others and takes up responsibility.
This can be seen from his ability to host the Half Yearly Students’ Council report and supervise its proceedings. He introduced the representatives, behaved like professionals. He allocated proper tasks to various students for the program. He discussed their arrangements. Everyone dressed smartly. While hosting the Students’ Council event, he conducted the proceedings with courtesy and referred to the other senior girls as ‘Miss’ proving that he has transformed into an honorable young man and Braithwaite was very proud . Thus in this way the narrative was pleased with Denhan's attitude towards the female students
