She was given the topic ‘Delivery Ideal and Competency based e-content Novel.’She started her session in very presentable way because the topic was mammoth, Bit scary ! As there are no such activities or ice breaking activities to introduce a Novel. Students should know the literary elements before starting a novel. There are a lot of novel genres, including romance, science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thrillers and others. Dr. Shubhra  Somnath Roy, guided the method of teaching the novel to the participants  in the following positive approach and gave good examples from  Novel 4.2 To  Sir, With Love by Braithwaite by following few steps . These elements are the following: About the Author and Novel,  theme, plot, setting, characters , dialogues between them, conflicts, language style, conclusion and learning outcome. Different authors use these elements in different ways. Some prefer to pay a lot of attention to a theme and a setting. Others start with a character and develop a story by providing readers with insights into the character. While the elements can interact with each other in a countless number of ways, it is important for all of them to be present in a novel, be strong and work smoothly together with other elements. While every novel has a theme, the theme is often not stated but revealed throughout the story. Often themes involve insights about life, relationships, and feelings that characters of stories discover through the situations they have to deal with and the way they react to these situations. A variety of innovative Google forms were used  such quizzes, theme based questions, summary writing and use of YouTube.
