Greeting the society with Kindness
A simple act of kindness goes long way. Blend it with understanding and add a sprinkle of faith . The world that we live in today is full of individuals who lack an important criterion of the heart, which is kindness. Kindness is a pleasant temperament and a concern for others.
When we are kind to one another, it will create a society that is selfless and compassionate. The survival of humanity is dependent upon human kindness, as acts of kindness encourage benevolence. The problem with unkind individuals is their failure to nurture their hearts to value the life and well-being of others. They also lack empathy.
Individuals are the main components of society. Thus, for society to be able to live in harmony and co-exist peacefully, we need to have people who treat others with respect, despite differences in religion, culture or social standing. Reminder that it is always best to consider the feelings of others in any particular situation, by being more empathetic. Our friendly gestures, smiles and simple greetings could be enough to significantly improve someone’s day.
Unfortunately, there are people who are insensitive, which leads to the devastating existence of incivility. Rudeness on social media and other forms of technology is becoming a huge concern in our society, which can be tackled through education and campaigns.
Kindness is actually contagious. When we make just one kind gesture towards others and it has a significant impact on them. Therefore, we should always start with the intention greeting society with kindness. It is a feeling of mercy from the heart. A kind man would help you when you need him and when you don't. He doesn't expect anything in return for his generosity. It doesn't necessarily have to be monetary or material, it could be as simple as a smile to the unfortunate or picking up a lame man's bag. Kindness knows no walls, no colour, no tongue.
Observe the smile on the face of a less privileged boy when you share your sandwich with him, the joy on the old woman's face when you help her cross the street, or the calmness of a cat or dog when you brush their hair or stroke them gently.
Kindness is a virus that can spread very fast, it's quite infectious. It breeds love, it grows connections and tolerance. The world would be a better place with a kind you and me . I strongly believe in this statement from Johann Wolfgang Goethe,”When we are kind to others, it helps develop inner happiness in us. One kind action leads to another.”
There are many different ways to be kind. It can be expressed through things such as using kind words when greeting and speaking to someone. I remember that when I was about seven years old, there was a small park near my home. There used to be a group of elderly people from an old age home walking in the park most of the time. I usually talked to them. I used to ask them how they were and things like that. As I told the elderly people that, they told me that they will miss me lot, and that I reminded them of their grandchildren who lived far away from them. I realized that people can be happy by expressing kindness through speaking.
Kindness can be also expressed through charity. I believe in giving to people in need. It can be anything given such as food, money, and clothes. A few years ago, my family and I went to India. My sister and I wanted to see a village, so my mom decided to take us to my great grandfather’s village. The village people were really friendly. I talked to the children, and I asked them questions about things such as school. I noticed a little girl walking quietly so I asked her what grade she is in. She told me that she couldn’t see the chalkboard properly so she didn’t go to school. Before we left the village, we gave the little girl’s parents money to see the doctor and money to buy the glasses. It makes me happy knowing the fact that the little girl can go to school and see the world like other people.
I also believe in being kind to animals. A few months ago I told my parents that we should keep a birdfeeder outside our home because a lot of birds were having trouble finding food. My parents and I are very happy in doing this. It is so wonderful to see all the different types of birds the seeds attract and as well as the squirrels.
Very good presented. Keep it up !
