'Mom' - an enchanting word

‘Mom’ is an enchanting word,

You are a lovely rose in the garden,

A diamond to outshine the moon,

Your love is beyond words,

And for all that you’ve done for me,

You taught me forgiveness ,hope and strength,

They will never leave me,

Believe me ! 

Your laugh fills the air and purifies it,

Like a serum for dark energy,

Your touch comprehends my body,

Sending signals to my mind and heart,

Assuring them all is well,

Massaging the stress away,

Your wisdom trains and protects me,

From evil and unnecessary unwarrented damage,

Forges my spirit, moulds my perspection and quenches my ignorance;

Conditioning me to be unorthodox and different nurturing my growth,

Your hug keeps me warm even in your absence,

It envelopes me like a blanket, 

You are the  tree under which I take shelter! 

One of the best gifts that we can have is a mother’s love,

Your affection come in various ways and in different forms,

A gentle smile, a good advice, a warm hug,

One is for our naked eyes to see and the other thing is 

A warm presence that only our heart could feel!

The sun rises in your heart mom,

I can't not help but wonder how special I am ! 

To be a recipient of that bask in your awesome love!

I want you to know,

I love you infinitely - Mom.

 Thoughts assembled somewhere in the last week of May month and it was contributed for an Anthology - Mom's The Word ( 22nd May 2020) the right date to dedicate this poem to my MOM.

Thank you Ms. Meena Mishra madam and Mr. Abhinandan sir for giving this opportunity to express/penned down my feelings/ thoughts  towards my mother.
